Greg Enders took up mountain biking 4 years ago with his son, Collin, becoming an Issaqueena Composite coach shortly thereafter, and a Walhalla High School coach for the past 2 years. Greg became Head Coach last year and is excited about the prospects for the developing South Carolina league. He has found mountain biking to be a great way to connect with his son, mentor students, and make new friends among the coaches and riders’ families.
Greg has an avid interest in the community, being Chairman of the Foothills Area YMCA for 8 years. The Y opened their first full facility in Oconee County in February of 2020 with programming for families, swim teams for students, and seniors. With mountain biking, he is eager continue volunteering, assisting teens in finding their passion as they create a healthy and active lifestyle, form new friendships and compete.
Greg is a physician at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital, having been with the hospital for 21 years. Formerly he was a Major in the USAF, having served as a physician at Luke AFB in Phoenix. He and his wife Stephanie and children, Reese and Collin, live in Seneca.
